Day 01: Ben Gurion Airport – Caesarea – Haifa – Tiberius/Nazareth Hotel  

Meals: Dinner

Arrival at Tel Aviv and meeting with a representative of the local contractor and a guide. Transfer to Caesarea Maritima on the Mediterranean Sea. Short stay on the beach near the ancient aqueduct (2nd century AD). Then drive to Haifa, the third largest city in Israel, located in the Carmel Mountains. Visiting the “Stella Maris” Sanctuary built over the grotto of Elijah. We will also see the beautiful Persian Baha’i Gardens, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Transfer to Tiberias/Nazareth or around. Accommodation in the hotel, dinner, overnight accommodation.

Day 02: Nazareth Hotel – Tabgha – Mt. of Blessings – Capernaum – Boat Cruise – Nazareth Hotel  

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Transfer to Tabgha, the place where Jesus performed the miraculous multiplication of the loaves. The current building – the Church of the Multiplication of Bread was built on the site of a Byzantine temple, in which a colorful floor mosaic (Tabgha I) has been preserved. Next to where the resurrected Jesus appeared to the apostles for the third time, there is the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter (Tabha II). Drive to the Mount of the Beatitudes, the place where Jesus gave his famous “Sermon on the Mount”. There is an octagonal sanctuary on the hillside. Then drive on the north shore of the lake to Capernaum, the city of Jesus. Here are the remains of a synagogue from the 4th century AD probably built on the ruins of the one where Jesus taught. Boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. As a gift from the Organizer – Consortium of Polish Travel Agencies – Ryba Św. Peters for lunch (drinks payable extra). Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Nazareth Hotel – Nazareth City Tour – Mt. Tabor – Nazareth Hotel   

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast. Visit to the Basilica of the Annunciation, Nazareth. The Grotto of the Annunciation is located in the lower church. It is here that the Angel of the Lord “announced to the Virgin Mary” that she would become the Mother of the Son of God. The upper church recounts the glory of Mary “blessed by all nations”. Passage to the Church of St. Józef, which was erected in the place of the former house of the carpenter Józef, Maria’s husband. The interior of the temple is decorated with a series of paintings on Marian themes.

At this point, the Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary the joyful news that she had been chosen by God to be the mother of His son. Passage to the Church of St. Józef, which was erected in the place of the former house of the carpenter Józef, Maria’s husband. Then drive to Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration. This event is commemorated by the Franciscan Basilica of the Transfiguration with chapels dedicated to Moses and Elijah. Back to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 04: Nazareth Hotel – Cana of Galilee – Nazareth Hotel 

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast. Transfer to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed the first miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding of a poor family. This is where the Sanctuary of the First Miracle is located. Here you can see a fragment of an ancient floor mosaic with inscriptions in Aramaic, and in its basement archaeological layers dating back to the 1st century AD are visible. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight stay.

Day 05: Nazareth Hotel – Allenby Bridge – Mt. Nebo – Madaba (St. George church) – Amman Hotel 

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

After breakfast. Drive across the Israeli Jordanian border.

Then we approach the mouth of the Jordan River to the Dead Sea at an altitude of about 800 meters, where Mount Nebo rises. Although this is still Jordan, in good weather you can already see the church towers of Jerusalem. The events described in the Old Testament became famous for Mount Nebo. The Ark of the Covenant was supposed to be hidden nearby.

This is where Moses died and was buried. Transfer to Madaba. This pleasant town, 30 km south of Amman, is famous for its unusual mosaics from the Byzantine era. Accommodation in Amman, dinner, overnight

Day 06: Amman Hotel – Petra Visit – Amman Hotel

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

After breakfast, visit the Nabatean Red Rose city of Petra, one of the 7 world wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enter the city through a 1KM long narrow gorge which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. Then, head back to Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 07: Amman Hotel – Allenby Bridge – Jericho – Qasr Al Yahud – Bethlehem Hotel 

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast. Check out. Crossing the Jordanian Israeli border. Drive to Jericho, considered the oldest city in the world. Here rises the Mount of Temptation, where, according to the Bible, Jesus was tempted by Satan. Then drive to Quasrl-Al-Yahud – the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Renewal of baptismal promises at the Jordan. Transfer to Bethlehem, accommodation, dinner and overnight.

Day 08: Bethlehem Hotel – Ein Karem – Bethany – Dead Sea – Bethlehem Hotel 

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast. A visit to Ein Karem, a small biblical town west of Jerusalem. We will see the Franciscan Church of the Visitation, built on the site where, according to tradition, Mary visited St. Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist. Above the grotto, traditionally considered to be the place where John the Baptist was born, today stands the church of St. John. Visiting Bethany – the place of the probable home of Jesus’ friends – Lazarus, Mary and Martha. From the 4th century, the village bears the Arabic name of Al-Azariya. In Bethany, Jesus resurrected Lazarus, and here, in the house of Simon the Leper, Mary anointed Jesus’ head with precious oil. Then drive to Qumran, the site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls written by the Essenes. From the road we will see the caves where the manuscripts were found. Transfer to the Dead Sea. Time for mud baths. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 09: Bethlehem Hotel – Bethlehem Tour – Bethlehem Hotel  

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner.

Breakfast. Visiting Bethlehem, overlooked by the Church of the Nativity built above the Grotto of the Nativity. The silver star marked the birthplace of Jesus. Adjacent to the Grotto of the Nativity is the Grotto of the Crib where the shepherds paid homage to baby Jesus. At a distance of 300 m from the basilica there is the Milk Grotto. Tradition says that Mary, during her flight to Egypt, nursed Jesus in this place. Then drive to Shepherd’s Field. The church with the figure of an angel has the shape of a tent, its dome seen from the inside resembles a palm tree, and the magnificent frescoes illustrate the history of the Holy Family. Next to the church, you can see the grottoes where, according to tradition, shepherds lived with their flocks. Transfer to Mount Zion. We will see the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Then we will go to the Cenacle, the most important place for Christians on Mount Zion, place of the last supper. On the eastern slope of Mount Zion stands the Church of St. Peter “In Galicantu”, or “in the place where the rooster crowed”, and the apostle Peter denied Jesus three times. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Bethlehem Hotel – Jerusalem Tour – Ben Gurion Airport

Meals: Breakfast. 

Breakfast. A visit to the Mount of Olives, from where there is an amazing panorama of the Old Town. Visiting the Pater Noster church, where Jesus taught the Our Father prayer, whose text in almost 60 languages was placed on the walls. Passageway to the monastery church of Dominus Flevit. Here Jesus wept over the fate of Jerusalem. At the foot of the Mount of Olives is the Basilica of the Agony (also called the Church of All Nations). On the façade of the temple shines a golden mosaic depicting Jesus suffering for the sins of the world. Next to the temple is the Garden of Olives – Gethsemane, where Jesus was betrayed. The next point of our Pilgrimage is “Via Dolorosa” – the Way of the Cross, a series of narrow streets and the 14th stations of the Lord’s Passion located next to them. Stations from I to IX are located in buildings adjacent to the streets, and stations from X to XIV in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre. The distance from the Antonia Fortress (where Jesus was sentenced) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is about 1200m.

The basilica is one of the most unusual temples in the world. It is jointly owned by several Christian denominations, each with its own chapels and altars; he conducts his services in his rite. The most important places in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre are the place of Jesus’ crucifixion – Golgotha/ Calvary and the empty tomb where the Lord’s body was laid and where He was resurrected. Walk through the streets of the Old Town to the Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall, the most important place for all Jews. These are the remains of the second temple built by Herod the Great. The area under the Wall serves as a giant open-air synagogue. Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport.
