Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Queen Alia Airport — Amman
Arrival at Amman Queen Alia International airport. Our represenative will wait for you and hlp you with visa procedures. Your driver will wait for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign and he will transfer you to your hotel in Amman for overnight, including breakfast.

Day 2: Amman – Madaba – Karak – Dana

In the morning your photographer, will explain the activities in Jordan and introduce you to your fellow travelers. This will be followed by a visit to Citadel and Roman Theater in Amman. Drive to the St. George Church in Madaba, with its famous mosaic map of the Promised Land. After you drive via the King’s Highway to Karak to visit the Crusaders Castle. Continue to Dana Nature Reserve for dinner an overnight stay in a simple and cozy hotel.

Day 3: Dana – Little Petra – Petra

After breakfast you can visit the old village of Dana Nature Reserve and surroundings. Optional you can make a hike in Dana Nature Reserve with a local guide. In the afternoon we’ll depart for Petra and finish the day with a photo stop in beautiful Little Petra. Overnight at your hotel in Petra. (B)

Day 4: Petra

Today you’ll have a full day to explore the many monuments in the UNESCO and World Heritage Site Petra. Included is a 2-3 hours guided city tour, to get a good first impression of Petra. After this tour you have the rest of the day to explore Petra by yourself together with the photographer. After your visit to the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and Colonnaded Street you have the possibility to hike your way to the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice. It is a lot of climbing, but worth the views! Overnight at your hotel in Petra. (B)

Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum

This morning you have time to visit Petra on your own. Put those learned skills into good use! After lunch (around 2 pm) you will be transferred to Wadi Rum. Feel like T.E. Lawrence in the breathtaking scenery of Wadi Rum. You will have the afternoon free to explore the area around of the campsite together with the Jordanian photographer. You could also choose to enjoy a short camel ride upon arrival to Wadi Rum. Enjoy dinner under the stars and spend the night at a fixed campsite. Tonight you could enjoy a photography workshop about how to capture the stars the best on your lens. (B, D)

Day 6: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea

Today you will explore Wadi Rum desert by jeep. The jeep will stop at each site to give you time to explore the site, scramble around and make beautiful pictures! In the afternoon you transfer to the lowest point on earth’s surface; the Dead Sea. We drive via Dilagha, a beautiful ‘hidden’ road that crosses Wadi Araba Desert, one of the unique places that we love to introduce to you. Overnight at a hotel at the Dead Sea. (B, L)

Day 7: Dead Sea – Wadi Mujib – Dead Sea
Free morning at the Dead Sea. On this day we’ll have a workshop and practice with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. At 2 pm drive to Wadi Mujib where you will hike the fun water Siq Trail ( available from 1st Apr – 31 Oct). This hike takes 2-3 hours together with a private RSCN guide and you will learn how to make the most beautiful pictures while being on the move! Note: make sure to bring a water/dust proof case to protect your camera during the tour! Transfer back to Dead Sea for overnight. (B)

Day 8: Dead Sea – Queen Alia International Airport

Transfer to the airport for departure, 3 hours in advance of your departure time. (B)
